A little time with my old roomie and her boys!

Portland greeted me with a lot of rain for a late August trip, but it was all worth it as I spotted Holly at the airport. We had a wonderful time looking through her garden, catching up over coffee, watching the boys "tend" to their chicken coup, and discussing possible names for baby # 3. Holly and I also talked about the book "Animal, Vegetable, Miricle" and I was inspired by their own little mircle they've got growing in their backyard! They are already home schooling and they don't even know it!

Go Shawn!

THE RUN

Shawn did a triatlon last weekend in beautiful Santa Barbara! The whole family came out to cheer him on. We also got a chance to really envy everyone that gets to live in beautiful places. As we drove back to Hanford we mourned our residence =(

I love summer!

Josiah just bought his first dog....a 3 month old aussie/german shepard mix. He named her Clarin and we have all enjoyed her thus far

Summer is coming to a close for us. First Grade has begun at our kitchen table and soccer practice starts tommorrow, but here's a few pictures from the last month! We went to Crystal Cave in Sequoia National Park. The kids loved all the stalagmites and stalactities (sp?)...do you see them in the picture? Also, my own little Micheal Phelps got 17th place at the valley finals in freestyle...5th place in backstroke...and his stud relay team got 2nd place.

We are really becoming "valley folk" these days. This is a typical summer activity here in Hanford...rafting down the local river =)
